Dr. Elizabeth Malouf, ND

Dr. Elizabeth Malouf, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor originally from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated cum laude and earned the distinction of salutatorian from National University of Health Sciences, where she completed her training in naturopathic medicine. During her clinical education, she completed a focused preceptorship in family medicine, solidifying her foundation in comprehensive, whole-person care. Dr. Malouf has a particular clinical interest in autoimmune conditions and is dedicated to helping patients navigate these complex health challenges through individualized, integrative approaches.

Nutrition forms the cornerstone of Dr. Malouf’s medical philosophy. Before pursuing naturopathic medicine, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her deep knowledge of nutritional science informs every aspect of her practice, allowing her to craft personalized treatment plans that support long-term healing and vitality.

Dr. Malouf’s commitment to holistic health extends beyond the clinical setting. She is also a certified yoga instructor, having completed her initial 200-hour teacher training at Moksha Yoga in Chicago, followed by an advanced 500-hour certification in Kerala, India. Her experience in yoga and mindfulness further enhances her ability to support patients’ mental and emotional well-being, aligning with her belief in treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

At the heart of Dr. Malouf’s practice is a dedication to patient-centered care. She recognizes that health is deeply influenced by physical, emotional, mental, and environmental factors, and she strives to identify and address the root cause of illness rather than merely managing symptoms. By integrating evidence-based natural therapies with a compassionate, personalized approach, she empowers her patients to take an active role in their healing journey.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Malouf enjoys spending quality time with her family. You’ll often find her exploring hiking trails, immersed in a good book, or dancing to live music—joyful moments that reflect the balanced lifestyle she encourages in her patients.

Jennifer Nomi, CNC, CGP, Intuitive Eating Coach

Nutritionist

After dealing with many unnerving, unusual, unexplainable health issues for over 15 years without answers from many doctors, I finally received an accurate diagnosis in 2012 of late stage Lyme Disease and co-infections, Babesia and Bartonella.

During the years I was actively treating the infections, I was fortunate to work with some of the best doctors in the US and Germany. One of the attributes I admire most about the doctors and practitioners I worked with was their caring and collaborative nature, I found that to be a very important aspect of our relationships. This is an attribute I hope to share with my clients.

There were many times along the way I contemplated if the ups and downs that come along with treating systemic infections was worth it. I can honestly say it was! I’ve recovered from all three tick-borne infections as well as intestinal permeability, histamine intolerance, and eczema thanks to proper treatment from knowledgeable doctors and practitioners, supportive therapies, dietary, lifestyle changes, and A LOT of perseverance!

I’m grateful to have been symptom free of Lyme and co-infections for over 7 years, and I plan on doing my best to keep it that way!

When working with clients, I want to empower and support their health and wellness with honesty, compassion, and integrity. I will strive to provide individualized care that encourages optimal health and wellness for your life.

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible! Much of my time over the past several years has been spent building a small homestead, which currently includes 11 hens, a bee colony, a small orchard, and vegetable garden. I also enjoy spending time at the beach, hiking, camping, reading, and listening to a variety of music and podcasts.

Genevieve Lamancusa, FNP-C

Genevieve is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, qualifying her to diagnose and treat individuals in all stages of life. She began her career in health care by working for a homecare organization in Boulder, Colorado, providing care for the elderly and disabled in their homes. Since that time, she has logged over 18 years of experience in various areas of patient care (Certified Nurse Aid in a nursing home in Boulder, Registered Nurse at Boulder Community Hospital, and family practice as a Nurse Practitioner). Highlights include clinical rounds with infectious disease, women’s health, and various primary care clinics. Genevieve also worked in a busy primary care clinic in Montrose before coming to Roots and Branches.

In addition to her clinical experience, Genevieve also has a prolific academic background that includes a Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the prestigious University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and three bachelor’s degrees (a BS in business marketing, a BA in environmental studies, and a BS in nursing). Genevieve has also received training from the Institute of Functional Medicine.

Although Genevieve appreciates and utilizes her in-depth training in conventional medicine, her preference is discovering the deeper underlying causes of a patient’s illness.

In addition to partnering with patients experiencing complex health care scenarios, Genevieve has developed a passion for helping women thrive while going through perimenopause and the menopausal transition. While this is a normal part of aging, there are many treatments that can make the transition smoother, improving quality of life and overall longevity, especially bioidentical hormone therapy.

In her free time, Genevieve enjoys meditation, hiking and climbing outdoors, and spending time with her husband of 21 years.

Administrative assistants are the backbone of office functionality. We are blessed by Brittania’s organizational skills, earnest care for our patient population and longtime dedication to improving our execution of health care. “I love working as an integral link in the execution of diagnosis and patient management. It’s very gratifying to see people with chronic illness restore a better quality of life. I love being apart of hardworking staff members and doctors who always go above and beyond to help those in need. I have been very grateful to be able to put my medical assistant training at use during different times while working for R&B. When Im not at R&B I enjoy hanging out with family and raising my son Jediah.”
