Welcome to the Roots and Branches Charitable Fund

Your location for becoming involved in healing health care

The fund’s goal is to transform the healthcare system from merely treating symptoms (‘WHAT you have’) to understanding the root causes (‘WHY you have it’). This approach provides comprehensive insights into the multifaceted factors contributing to illness, enabling tailored treatment plans for patients. Addressing the ‘WHY’ leads to breaking the cycle of our overburdened healthcare system.

At Roots & Branches, we leverage every resource available, with a strong emphasis on high-quality data, to aid in restoring health. This involves exploring multiple factors such as motivation, childhood upbringing, family history, and financial considerations, resulting in a common-sense, personalized treatment plan rooted in validated data. This dedication requires TIME, MONEY, and ENERGY to uncover the root causes of chronic illness.

Our initial goal is a $1 million endowment, generating annual dividends to fund our four core initiatives:

  1. Ensuring Equal Access for the indigent and chronically ill.
  2. Advancing Research and Publishing.
  3. Promoting Better Construction Practices in the Building Arts.
  4. Supporting Essential Workers.

Your support will propel our mission to help individuals restore their functional biochemistry and transition from ‘professional patients’ to productive, creative, and capable members of society, family, and personal life. This is the driving force behind our commitment to healthcare.

The Four Pillars of the Roots and Branches Charitable Fund

EQUAL ACCESS – Many chronically ill individuals have not had access to a rational healthcare approach and remain trapped in a cycle of symptom-based treatments, whether in the form of drugs or specific modalities.  The spirit of this fund is to ensure that all patients gain an honest, data-driven understanding of the root causes of their illnesses and receive precise guidance for addressing them. Our goal is to eliminate financial barriers that might hinder someone’s determination to regain their health.

This initiative was inspired by numerous individuals, including a single mother with two daughters who were living in a tent on a friend’s porch, struggling without financial means or access to healthcare while striving for a stable income.

You may earmark funds toward specific individuals by entering a Target Recipient in the donation section.

RESEARCH AND PUBLISHING – At Roots and Branches, our goal is to publish groundbreaking healthcare research. This ambitious endeavor will involve statisticians, research assistants, pre-med students, and advanced technology to collect data for publication, showcasing the methods and outcomes observed in our clinic daily.

To shift healthcare from mere symptom management (‘WHAT we have’) to understanding the underlying causes (‘WHY we have it’), PUBLISHING is essential. Producing peer-reviewed medical papers in high-impact journals will substantiate our methods and drive undeniable transformation in the healthcare landscape.

HEALING THE BUILDING ARTS – Many of our mystery illness patients are confirmed CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) patients linked to Water Damaged Buildings (WDB). Similar to a tribe in Africa needing engineered solutions for their water supply instead of endless antibiotics for ‘traveler’s diarrhea,’ the CIRS community seeks to revolutionize Building Practices in America. We aim to construct better buildings free from defects, using high-quality materials, and emphasizing Quality over Quantity.

We cannot heal a patient with CIRS if we do not address the underlying cause of Biotoxin exposure from Water Damaged Buildings.

We are actively seeking donor and Venture Capitalist support to construct Sirewall® and other health-conscious buildings near our clinic. These buildings can temporarily house CIRS patients and demonstrate the rapid transformation of severely ill individuals into refreshed, productive members of society (typically within 3-12 months).

Step One of the Shoemaker protocol, a peer-reviewed and published approach for eradicating CIRS, is ‘Remove Patient From Biotoxin Exposure.’ The most challenging aspect of healing CIRS patients lies in providing them with a clean environment.

Using trackable data, including before-and-after patient labs with a single variable change (building environment), we hope to influence the Building Arts industry to reestablish PRIDE and INTEGRITY in construction practices that prioritize human health outcomes. The question remains: Do the buildings you construct promote health or contribute to misery?

SUPPORTING ESSENTIAL WORKERS – This aspect of the fund was inspired by our co-founder, Eric Wainwright, who was once a patient suffering from severe and debilitating headaches, including ‘red days’ of paralyzing pain. Despite his financial resources, Eric struggled to find answers and consistent relief for his condition.

Through an exhaustive exploration of the potential underlying causes of his headaches, the team at Roots and Branches identified multiple sources of inflammation leading to cytokine storms and driving his intense ‘brain on fire’ headache episodes. After a thorough diagnostic and treatment process, Eric became headache-free.

Grateful for the long-sought relief, Eric also recognized the vital role played by dedicated medical assistants, reception staff, and lab coordinators in guiding him through the diagnosis and healing journey. However, these essential workers often earn lower salaries in an area with high living costs.

In response, Eric initiated an annual bonus program of $1-3K for R&B essential workers, based on their years of service, effort, and dedication. This program has not only celebrated their contributions but has also helped retain these compassionate and competent individuals, ensuring continued support for chronically ill patients during their most challenging times.

You may support a specific essential worker at R&B by entering a Target Recipient in the donation section.  If you have other ideas you wish to promote, please reach out to us.

If you believe in our fund’s mission as outlined in these four pillars, please consider a generous donation.
